Hi Tea Friends!

This tea is truly special — it’s the ancestor of Phoenix Mountain Oolong, offering you the most original flavors of Phoenix tea.

1. Wild Hongyin – The Forefather of Phoenix Dancong:
The first wild teas of Phoenix Mountain were all Hongyin. Legend has it that around the Song Dynasty, selective cultivation produced the Niaozui Shuixian group. Over time, natural variations in this group reached the level of single-bush teas, giving rise to the Phoenix Dancong Oolong tea that tea lovers enjoy today.

2. Who It’s For:
Perfect for Dancong enthusiasts and anyone curious about the diversity of Phoenix teas.

3. Tasting Notes:
The tea liquor is rich and mellow. Interestingly, you need only about half the usual amount of leaves compared to standard Dancong — for example, 2.5g instead of 5g. The liquor has a slight bitterness at first, but towards the last infusion, a honey-like sweetness emerges. Locals in Phoenix Mountain even brew this tea with honey for a naturally sweet experience. This tea can be steeped for 10 infusions or more!

4. Fun Factor:
After adding water or letting the tea rest for a while, the liquor gradually turns a soft pink — a beautiful visual treat. It’s also suitable for long-term storage. For the best taste, brew with freshly boiled mineral water.

5. Unique Feature:
This is a 2020 vintage, five-year-aged Wild Hongyin. Over time, its quality and beneficial properties continue to improve.

6. Health & Value:
Wild Hongyin is naturally rich in anthocyanins. Tea farmers in the mountains often use it as a soothing drink for inflammation — personally tested, one cup can help calm a sore throat.

Tip for Choosing Wild Hongyin Oolong:
Only the red-centered Hongyin leaves are truly wild!

We hope this tea offers you a unique experience. With each sip, may you discover its distinctive character and value. Remember — the older the Hongyin tea, the rarer and more precious it becomes!
